Anthony Argueta
Youth Pastor
I am a 23 year old Washinton native, part of a loving family of five, a mother and three siblings. I discovered my passion and calling in life the summer of my sophomore year of high school and since then have been on a pursuit to grow the Kingdom of God by focusing on youth.
I joined the San Jose Open Bible staff in March of 2013. I am blessed to work with such a wonderful group of youth as well as our youth leadership team. I am currently finishing my Bachelors Degree at William Jessop University in Christian Leadership but I have attained my credentials through Open Bible Churches. I recently Married my high school sweatheart Kimmi Kumangai January of 2014.
I love christian rap and sports, I am currently coaching football at Leigh High School. I feel most comfortable when I am in a atmosphere that is wild and crazy and live by Romans 1:16! I am in a constant pursuit of Jesus and will stop at nothing to make Him famous. Come check us out and see what we are about.

Kimmi Argueta

I moved from Seattle in July of 2013 to help out with the youth group and be closer to my then fiance now husband Pastor Anthony. We got married in San Jose, CA, January 4, 2014. My walk with Christ started when I was brought to youth group by some close friends my junior year of high school. It was there that I first learned that God wanted a real relationship with me, and that my faith was supposed to be more than sitting in a church twice a week. It encouraged me that God wanted to know me and that He was always there. Ever since I started my walk and got baptized in 2009, I have been continuing to pursue Jesus. I currently work as a nanny and soon will be continuing my Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education.
Caleb Sayre

My name is Caleb sayre and I am 22 years old. I attend west Valley College and I graduated from Leigh high school in 2010 after attending Dartmouth middle school. Have been going to San Jose Open Bible for 19 years. I am involved in the worship ministry and here at the church, working with the youth and on Sunday mornings I work with the media team. Outside of church I enjoy playing softball with the church team, running and long walks on the beach. I love to watch sports and to play sports (except badminton I hate badminton). I realy enjoy siging up for races, spartan, color run and pretty much the rest.

Ebony Jackson

Hello, my name is Ebony Jackson and I am 20 years old I currently attend San Jose Sate University. I joined the youth group at San Jose Open Bible at the age of 15. One year later I decided to join the youth leadership team and ever since then I knew this was where God wanted me to be. I am currently a part of the Reckless Youth Ministry Staff and I absolutely love it! Being able to see people give their life to the Lord is such a blessing and I don’t think there is anything that brings me more joy than that.
Some random facts about me are: I eat way too much frozen yogurt, and I tend to randomly break out into weird dance moves; it just happens. John 20:29 says “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed”. Making that decision to have faith and believe in what Christ has done and will continue to do is the best decision I have ever made. GG||LG *God’s Good||Life’s Good.
Cleo Heppes

Cleo has been a member of San Jose Open Bible Church since 2001. In addition to serving in youth ministry, Cleo serves on the adult and youth worship teams as media support, and she serves on the prayer team as well. She has also provided staff support during the summers for VBS (vacation bible school). Cleo has a heart for worship and performs with a non-profit worship outreach organization where she is also the ministry treasurer.
Cleo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and she is retired from a long career in public administration and management. She has been married to her husband Jim since 1978, and their daughter Serena also serves in youth ministry.
Psalm 28:7 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped. Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him.”

Erica Rice

My name is Erica Rice, I am 23 years old and am currently working at the YMCA as a after school teacher and am going to school full time to work towards my bachelors in child studies and adolescence development. I guess you could say that I have a passion for working with youth. Apart from working with kids for a career my real passion is to work for the youth of our community. To connect, encourage and excite youth for Jesus and his kingdom. Working at San Jose Open Bible on Reckless Youth Ministry fills my heart with joy. Knowing that what you are doing is a lot of work, tears, smiles, and sweat but has the sweetest outcome, bring those to know the love of God makes it all worth wild. Having those youth look up to you and helping lead to God, well what else could be better?

David Presley

Hi, my name is David Presley and I am 21years old and currently attend West Valley College. I started going to SJOB a little over a year ago. I enjoy being apart of the camps and retreats and being a role model to the younger boys to look up to. I play on the worship team on Wednesday nights and sometimes on Sundays. Outside of church, I enjoy sports, photography, music, and hanging out with friends!

Marissa Sinn

Hi my name is Marissa, and I've been attending San Jose Open Bible for about two years now. I was first introduced to the church by a close friend and started going to the youth group during my senior year of high school. God has continued to work in my heart ever since and I am so thankful to be apart of this team! I am currently going to school at West Valley college to complete my general education, and then transfer to a university. I am thinking to get a degree in Occupational or Speech Therapy for kids. As for right now I am doing my best to live for Jesus and set a good example.
In my free time I like to go on hikes, drink coffee, watch Netflix, and pray of course duh. GO GIANTS.
